IF YOU ARE CALLED INTO A MEETING BY ANY COMPANY MANAGER OR CORPORATE SECURITY, REMEMBER TO ASK THEM.....IF THIS DISCUSSION COULD IN ANY WAY LEAD TO MY BEING DISCIPLINED, TERMINATED OR AFFECT MY PERSONAL WORKING CONDITIONS, I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT MY UNION REPRESENTATIVE, OFFICER OR STEWARD BE PRESENT AT THE MEETING. CWA Social Media Policy Guidelines

CWA strongly supports the use of social media sites to discuss and advocate for the important issues facing members and working families today. While these sites offer many advantages, they also can cause serious legal problems if they are not properly used and can lead to complicated legal proceedings as well as potential disciplinary action against employee users. We have developed these guidelines for CWA members to consult when using social media to help avoid legal or other problems.

Know Your Rights virtual training

As we see an increased presence of immigration enforcement in many workplaces, including some of our own workplaces, it’s important to know what your legal rights are at your job if you're in a situation like this.

Join us for a virtual "Know Your Rights" training (conducted over Zoom) to hear from lawyers from the AFL-CIO, covering constitutional rights in and out of the workplace and how they apply to immigration enforcement, protesting and other acts of civil resistance.
