Big wins for workers in New York this year! Thanks to months of hard work by our Legislative & Political Action Team, the New York State Assembly and Senate passed several of our priority bills, including:
+Protecting CWA members’ work from harmful, anti-union "One Touch Make Ready"
+Shortening the waiting period for striking workers to collect Unemployment to just ONE week
+Workplace protections for workers in the Tower Climber industry
+Phasing out mandatory fees for SUNY Grad Workers represented by CWA Local 1104
+Protecting press freedom and emergency services transparency so NewsGuild-CWA members are better able to do their jobs.
